Fitkidz Gymnastics Rules
The beginning of all sport starts here! Gymnastics, recognized by the International Olympic Committee as a foundation sport, provides young athletes with a head start into sports. Our Gymnastics For All classes develop fundamental sports skills and movement patterns; landings, static positions, mobility, rotations, swing, springs and object handling all progress. Through the development of these fundamental movement patterns children develop a full range of physical and motor abilities required by every sport (endurance, strength, power, flexibility, agility, balance, coordination and speed).

1. What should my child wear to class?
For girls, any type of leotard used for dance or gymnastics, or a t-shirt and shorts. For boys, a t-shirt and shorts will do. The children do not wear any shoes, and long hair must be tied back with a soft hair elastic. Make sure NOT to wear any street clothing such as jeans, belt buckles, heavy sweatshirts and any type of jewellery.  It will restrict the athlete's range of movement. Make sure to bring a water bottle!
Arrive on time - We ask that you have your child ready for action at the start time for the class. Each class begins with warm up activities that will prepare them for the class ahead. This includes cardio, flexibility & stretching, teacher instructions, athlete input and attendance.
Wait Area - Please wait for your class in the area designated for your class.  Students are NOT PERMITTED in any of the instructional areas unless they are enrolled and an instructor is present. This also applies to GROWN UPS!
Monitor your children- Please help us keep all children safe here at Fitkidz Gymnastics by monitoring young children and siblings closely. We ask that no one stand or climb on chairs, benches, cubbies or counters.
No distractions please - Concentration is very important in our classes. We ask that you not distract them in any way.
Picking up your children - For the protection of your children, all students MUST BE picked up inside the building.
Valuables - Please do not leave valuables unattended. We are not responsible for lost or stolen items.

Club rules- All participants are expected to follow the Fitkidz Gymnastics/Gymnastics BC rules and guidelines.  We reserve the right to remove anyone not diligently following our requirements from a class or the program.

Our Mission Statement    I'mpossible
The FitKidz Gymnastics Club is dedicated to helping all participants reach their potential, both physically and mentally, through the sports of gymnastics and dance.  Every child, regardless of ability, deserves the best instruction possible.  It is our goal to provide a safe and loving atmosphere in which each child knows he or she is valued.  We will strive to provide an environment that cultivates listening skills, confidence, self-esteem, self-discipline, honesty, hard work ethics, team work, goal setting and responsibility.   Fitkidz is a place where all children can feel great about their accomplishments.  Most important, we hope that years after the children have moved on from their gymnastics and dance training, they will look back at their experience at Fitkidz Gymnastics and Dance and recognize the lifelong benefits.  Our goal is to make the sports of gymnastics and dance fun, safe and challenging activities for athletes in a positive environment led by experienced, skilled and professional coaches. At Fitkidz Gymnastics we commit ourselves to helping each child reach her/his fullest potential and achieve their goals and dreams.
